Do we really have an option?
In our day to day run we come across endless reasons to smile, to cry, to be furious, to be anxious, to be happy, to be sad, to pity...Yes, to pity..pity the ones less fortunate but how many of us actually take time to counsel, to find a way, to hear the agony, to be freindly, to spread love. Well! not many. We have a tendency to complain and to crib. We blame the systems but we dont realize that a system is a our own reflection. Dont believe me, then lets do a reality check. We talk of child labour and then on the other hand can't even think of surviving without the domestic help (mostly minors). What is your reaction to a child begging onthe street-we either feel to have done a charity by giving them a coin of two or we roll up the windows saying they wont stop being dramatic. But have we ever tried to talk to them, tried to know their deep down interests and aspirations, tried to counsel them and their parents..yes, you heard it right. their parents because after all they are the ones who send their children to beg..have you tried to listen to their problems and take a step towards their welfare and the welfare of our society..Did I hear someone saying that what difference would it make? But didnt the ones comlaining hear the saying that drop by drop the sea fills. So you need to do your bit and leave the rest..and who knows your step may have touched a life...may have encouraged some more around you to take a step too...And this way the system would start to be a different reflection all together..And its not a saying without practicing...I did it, i felt the change-though some may say the difference was not that evident, but i still maintain it did..it brought back the smile and to see and feel that, you either had to be there or do the same-feel the the smile and relief on someone's face. See how you touched someone's life and how you became a part of a life. Do I see someone already..
